The grease trap, mandatory for catering professionals.

The grease trap is mandatory for catering professionals: restaurants, caterers, butchers, delicatessens, bakers, etc., if they fail to possess another means of wastewater treatment. In fact, food waste must not be discharged directly into the sewage system, but must be pre-treated using a buried grease trap or an overhead grease trap, usually installed under a commercial sink.

Adapted to regulations, our BAGT® grease traps offer protection of the sewerage network and wastewater treatment works. Our BAGT®200N material is in line with the EN1825 "size 1" rejection standard. Recycling of fat

The fat thus harvested is stored in a drum made available by a company specializing in the collection of HAU, used food oils. These greasy materials will, after treatment, the production of bio-fuel in particular. Grants possible for the compulsory grease trap.

Subsidies can be awarded by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry or the Water Agencies, for the purchase and installation of our grease traps. They are available for our large capacity models, BAGT Compact, BAGT 80N, BAGT 200N and BAGT 400N. To find out about your eligibility for these grants, please contact these organizations.

Mandatory grease trap and regulations

The installation of a grease trap is mandatory, in the absence of other means of treating greasy effluents, to remain in compliance with French law.
